Friendship Baptist Church of Owasso

Friendship Baptist Church has grown in numbers but also in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and we enjoy many wonderful ministries for the entire family. Our children's ministry is well staffed and exciting. Our teen ministries are geared to help teenagers through the tough issues they face during those turbulent teen years. Our college and young professional classes exist to help young people be successful. We have divided our adult ministry into life stages to be as effective as possible for young married folks, young families, middle age and senior citizens. We enjoy youth camps, vacation Bible schools, missions trips, special days and just good old fellowship. We are committed to building lives, marriages and families. The foundation of our church is the Word of God and all ministries ae geared to support our mission’s statement. We are in phase two of a three stage building program on our 15 acres. We look forward to the future with great anticipation and excitement.

Friendship Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist church with a connection to the Baptist Bible Fellowship International. The church began 15 years ago in April of 1992. The goal of this tiny congregation was to see a powerful soul winning, missions minded independent Baptist church in a city that had none. We have grown from 39 charter members to a membership of nearly 1500 in fifteen years. As important as numerical growth is to a church, we are more interested in something else. Two words can describe the wonderful relationships we enjoy at our church: friends and family. We are a church that is a family of friends and a friend to the family. Our mission’s statement reveals this emphasis: Friendship Baptist church of Owasso exists to magnify Jesus Christ through worship and the preaching of the Word; Move believers to maturity in the faith through ministry and make Jesus known across the street and around the world through missions.

Friendship Baptist has truly been blessed by God. We are located at 14100 East 86th Street North, Owasso, OK. From Hwy 169 take the 86th Street North exit in Owasso and travel east past the high school. The church is located on the south side of the road at 141st Street.
