The Bible Church of Owasso

Our church begins in July 2007 as a church plant from Tulsa Bible Church. This is the culmination of a vision to expand God's work into suburban Tulsa that began over 7 years ago. The Lord has gathered together a dynamic group of His people to begin this new work. We are excited to serve Christ in our local community. Our purpose is to Exalt Jesus Christ and Expand His Kingdom, as we boldly proclaim His gospel, faithfully disciple His people, and gladly obey His Word.

Our major emphasis is on the application of God's Word to our lives through verse-by-verse expository preaching, applicational teaching of the truths of Scripture, personal relationships and discipleship, a loving children's ministry, Christ-focused youth ministry, compassionate outreach, and an emphasis on church planting and world missions. Our desire is to bring glory to God in all we do, and we believe that happens most effectively as we give proper place to the Scriptures and seek to obey all He has taught us. From our music to preaching to outreach to nurseries, we seek to join together in giving Jesus Christ His proper place of supremacy and centrality in our midst!

Our Sunday Gathering times are:
9:00 - Sunday School
10:00 - All Church Fellowship
10:30 - Worship Service
5:30 - Evening Worship and Kids "Quest" program
**Home Group meetings take place around Owasso and Tulsa on different weeknights.

We are not affiliated with any denomination, and are made up of people from various denominational backgrounds who have found their common fellowship in their commitment to follow Jesus Christ in all of life. Our desire is to serve the Lord in the Owasso area by ministering to all those the Lord Jesus gives us. We know that the Lord of the Church sovereignly places each person in the specific church He desires, and so our desire would be that each person be growing and serving in a church that is committed to the glory of God, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, and joy of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The church is located at 201 N. Main in Downtown Owasso (on Main St. between 76th & 86th St. North, just to the north of City Hall). Ted Johnson serves as the teaching pastor, and pours his heart into preaching and teaching the wonderful truths of God contained in His Word.

Terry Devitt serves as the director of Discipleship and Counseling, and counts it a privilege to help people discover the joy of knowing and following Jesus Christ in their everyday lives.
