What to Expect You are invited to join us for any of the services at Central Church. If you would like to visit for the first time, we suggest you try Sunday morning worship. We want you to feel comfortable when you visit so here's what you can expect in a typical Sunday service. Music One of the members of the pastoral staff will greet the congregation and then ask everyone to say hello to those around them and perhaps introduce themselves to someone they haven't met before. If you are visiting, you can count on meeting some of Central Church's regular attendees this way. Sermon Dress Services at Central Church are designed to be worshipful, community-building experiences that make it possible for all of us to have an encounter with God. We look forward to having you with us soon. A Brief History of Central Church In 1936, there were two churches of the Nazarene in Tulsa—Tulsa First, located in what was then considered the eastern part of Tulsa; and West Tulsa, located across town and on the other side of the Arkansas River. It was not hard for anyone to see the need for a Church of the Nazarene located somewhere between those two extremes.
