East Tulsa Church of God

East Tulsa Church of God (ETCG) began with in-home meetings in 1948. The first services were held at the current location on Pine Street in the summer of 1950. Since inception, ETCG has had a passion for reaching the lost locally, nationally and beyond. As former pastor Loren Stephenson said, I believe God blesses those who dream. That philosophy still carries on today as the church continues to reach up to God, and reach out to others.

Church leaders and the congregation have a passion to seek God's vision for the church spiritually and physically, and have faith that God can complete that mission through His workers at ETCG. The church enjoys showing Gods love to the community through a clothes closet located on the church premises; a clothes closet located a Bryant elementary and a tutoring program for elementary students. While is it easy to tell a hurting person that God loves them, it is harder to illustrate God's love daily. That is our mission at ETCG - to illustrate God's love to a world that is looking for answers.

ETCG maintains traditional Christian beliefs. However, they do not maintain formal church membership because one of their core beliefs is everyone who has accepted Christ as their savior is already a member of God's Church and that is what is important. ETCG offers a Wednesday evening Bible study, Sunday morning Sunday school and worship on a weekly basis. Children's classes are available Wednesday at 5:30pm and during Sunday school and Sunday worship.
