Tell us about the history of your Assembly of God church:
Our History began as an open air revival meeting in 1940. Officially established in 1942 and purchased a small building that was a former grocery store to begin holding services as a church.
The current facilities now exceed 120,000 square feet.

The church has had 10 pastors in its 66 year existence. It started with a handful of attenders and now has over 1000 regular attenders.

Our mission statement: We exist to connect people to Jesus.

We are a multi-generational congregation with ministry to all age groups. We have a strong emphasis on children and youth. In 2004 we completed construction on a 20,000 square foot youth center. We have a strong emphasis on world missions and gave $250,000 to missions in 2005 and should eclipse the $300,000 mark in 2006. We want to be a balanced ministry church embracing the five purposes of worship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, and ministry. We want every attender to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ and to move from a mentality of what does church offer me to a mindset of what can I do for God, to be a servant more than a consumer.

We fully understand and are grateful that we cannot earn salvation but we work for God from a heart of gratitude.

We want to do great things for God because He has done great things for us and in us.

We embrace Romans 12:1

Romans 12:1 (NLT) 1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask?
