Springs of Grace Bible Church

Springs of Grace Bible Church does not belong to a specific denomination. It is our desire to be a church who lives out the Bible's call to glorify God in every area of life. It is not our aim or perception that we can be (nor should be) a unique church. Rather, we seek just to be another true church in a long line of true churches which have always been but of which today there are too few.

The highest and most noble goal in the universe is the magnification of God's glory. And the most passionate heart for the magnification of God's glory is God's heart. So, because it is God's ultimate goal to glorify Himself, we make it our goal to exalt and glorify Him. We exist to make much of God; not for us to make much of us. Therefore, it is our aim to magnify the glory of God by preaching His Word which explains His character, by practicing His truth which displays His character, and by preferring Him above all things which exalts His worth as being beyond value.

Sadly, many people are not consumed with exalting the glory of God as their ultimate life goal. Consequently, they are missing out on an all eternity, all satisfying experience of enjoying and knowing God. The church must respond to this crisis. However, we are of the conviction that, while there are faithful churches in Tulsa, the overall condition of the church in North America is not consistent with aiding people in the pursuit of infinite joy in God. It is our desire to be a church in Tulsa that would exalt God's glory through the exposition of Scripture, display God's glory through lives of obedience, and enjoy God's glory by leading people to everlasting delight in worshiping Him. It is also our ambition to be a mission minded church that trains, sends out, and supports young men and women to preach and minister for the glory of God at home and around the world.

We recognize that there are many options of church involvement today. It is our desire for you to know the Lord and live for the Lord in the area He has provided especially for you. Wherever God’s Spirit might lead you, we pray it will be into a church family that lives in the spiritual environment of the greatness of God, the sufficiency of Scripture, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the passion to please God in all things. We would consider it a great blessing if the Lord prompts you to come and worship Him with us at Springs of Grace.

Ministries of Springs of Grace Bible Church

Adoption Ministry at Springs of Grace is a ministry that seeks to encourage the adoption of children through practical assistance, prayer, and financial support. We also have a Coaching Ministry that seeks to encourage coaches to identify and raise up players with hearts for God in hopes that they as coaches might be able to be spiritual mentors to those players and that the Lord might draw some of those players to be a part of the intern ministry or preacher school.

Preacher School is a ministry that seeks to train and develop men with hungry hearts for God in how to study the Bible, in how to see the glory of God as central in all the Scriptures and all of life, and in how to encourage a deeper discipline in Bible study as a pursuit of knowing God in hopes of preparing men for greater ministry opportunities now and in the future

Our Intern Ministry seeks to train, develop and influence college age men and women towards a God-centered, Christ-exalting, Scripture-saturated view of life and ministry while giving them opportunities to live out that training by doing ministry in the church and in cross-cultural environments

Inner City Ministries involves offering assistance to underprivileged children in the area of academics, including getAHEAD a summer tutoring program that helps inner city kids improve their reading and writing through individual instruction, enthusiasm about education, and mentoring relationships. Some of the ministries include:

Sports Clinic Ministry which seeks to expose inner city children to a variety of sports teaching them basic skills with an emphasis on character and spiritual development.

Our Ministry of Compassion which seeks to consistently spend time around inner city children and families to show them love through simple acts of practical kindness. Our goal is exposing children to family life & providing opportunities for children from broken homes to spend a day with a Christian family who models the biblical pictures of God and salvation that God intends to be communicated through the family.

Hamburgers & tracts distribution ministry seeks to utilize a monthly time of grilling hamburgers at one of the inner city apartment complexes by distributing hamburgers along with tracts and seeking to engage people in conversations about the Lord.

Preaching Ministry seeks to express a commitment to biblical, expository preaching of the Word of God that enlarges the mind and inflames the heart with a passion for God.

Teaching Ministry seeks to demonstrate a commitment to the sound teaching of the Bible to all ages

Corporate Worship Ministry seeks to exhibit a commitment to the worship of God through the gathering together of the saints for the reading of, listening to, and preaching of the Word; and through praise that enlarges our view of God and inflames our passions for God; and through the mutual exhortation of one another to not drift away from the preciousness of Christ.

Adopt-a-Grandparent ministry seeks to encourage nursing home patients who do not have other regular visitors.

Women’s Ministry teaches the Word of God to women in order to help them to love their husbands and children; to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands; and to have a passion for the glory of God in all things.

Youth Ministry seeks to teach the Word of God to young people in a way that builds in them zealous commitments to the Lord that would motivate them to expend their lives for the cause of Christ.

ORU Bible Study is a weekly Bible Study and discussion time on the ORU campus to address theological and life issues from a God-centered, biblical perspective (though not affiliated in any way with ORU, Springs of Grace Bible Church has gained through God's providence this opportunity to have an on-campus ministry to Oral Roberts University)

Twenty-Somethings Bible Study seeks to apologetically present God as the supreme joy of life through a summer Bible study to the twenty-something crowd

At Springs of Grace Bible Church it is our aim to value supremely what God values supremely. Jesus said the greatest commandment is to "...love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind... and love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37-39). That's why our aim is twofold. First, to cherish God as the greatest treasure of our lives. Second, as a reflection of God as our treasure to give ourselves away in loving others.
