Tulsa Bible Church

TBC was founded in 1955 for the purpose of pleasing God and making disciples. We emphasize a Bible teaching ministry for the maturing of believers and a robust outreach to the lost in Tulsa and around the world. We are an independent Bible church governed by elder leadership that offers a balanced ministry in the areas of Bible teaching and preaching, evangelism and discipleship, worship, and fellowship. It is our goal and passion to please God and make disciples.

We are a Bible church. You will use your Bible in our Sunday school and the morning and evening worship services. We worship through a blend of hymns and contemporary choruses. We are a family church. We focus on children learning about the Lord Jesus through Bible teaching in Sunday school, and we have a large and active AWANA program on Wednesday evenings. Our middle school and high school student ministry exists to partner with parents to lead and disciple students into being committed followers of Jesus Christ. We also have an active college group.

Our pastor, John Barnett has studied at Bob Jones University, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Master's Seminary where he was on the faculty. He teaches on the radio in Tulsa on Sunday mornings and is the author of two books: The Word Filled Family and Living Hope for the End of Days, a devotional on the book of Revelation. He is partners with four associate pastors, several elders, many deacons, and the church staff to shepherd and equip the saints at TBC.

We are an independent Bible church. We believe in the inerrancy of the Scriptures. We believe in the virgin birth, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and immanent, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that our sin separates us from God and that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to God.

TBC is an outreach church. We are serious about reaching the world for Christ. We have helped plant two churches in the Tulsa area and support missionaries and strategic projects around the world. A third of our financial resources are devoted to missions and local outreach.

Tulsa Bible Church is located at 5838 S. Sheridan in Tulsa. Our church building is just north of 61st and Sheridan on the west side Sheridan at East 60th St.
